Well our families 4th of July was memorable. I had a stroke at 1:30 in the morning. It was the scariest thing I have ever been through. I blacked out and when I woke up My bath room was filled with paramedics. And I realized that My Right side was numb I couldn't feel my arm, leg or my face. My tongue was numb. And I couldn't speak. I could hear my self moaning but I couldn't make any words come together. They took me to Dixie regional hospital. Where they decided to life flight me to Provo where there is a Nero surgeon that can do a special procedure to break up the clot with less risk of hemroging. But there's a 6 hour window to have it done in and we made it to the hospital in 5 hr 50 min so he couldn't do it after all. But the clot started to dissipate after about 6 1/2 hours. And my speech started to come back slowly. We were very blessed and watched over. I have right sided weakness which is coming back slower then I hoped but it is coming and I'm thankful for that .The doc said with in 6 months I should get back 75 % and a full recover by a year,And hopefully out of the wheel chair within a couple of months. So off to rehab I go. I'm so glad the therapist are so nice, if they were mean it would be hard to go back, they put you in so much pain. We want to thank every one for the prayers and help. Our family have felt so loved through this very difficult time.Thank you every one ex specially our family and friends. WE love you

Hi Everyone who might follow my highly neglected blog, or would follow it if I would write.
Life is going pretty good. I got in a bike accident in May and am still on crutches. I crushed the cartilage in my SI joint. The doctor said it would have been better to break a hip. So off to rehab I'm going. The Physical Therapist are some really nice people I think they have to because they put you in so much pain people wouldn't come back if they were mean on top of putting you in pain. The girls are great. They have been doing swimming lessons and are doing great with it. David is working like crazy but still loves work thankfully. We are going on family reunion hopefully over the 4th and the kids are so excited. I'll write soon again

What I've been up to lately

Well Lately has been a little crazy. I recently got back from a week in Washington D.C. with my littlest sister. Who just had a darling baby boy. But I was so wrapped up in the trip I did not get one picture so I'll have to just tell you what a great time I had.

The entire family drove down to Las Vegas to pick me up from the airport and we stayed over for the night. This is the girls in front of the coolest attraction in Vegas ,Chief Eagle Feather. the only kid appropriate thing to do in Vegas. They are all very pleased with them selves as they were just about to be turned loose in a gift shop with a entire dollar to spend. Wow we are so stinking cheap. Do you ever wonder what horror story your children are going to come back to tell about you. Ours is going to be Mom and Dad sent us in to a store with so little money we couldn't actually buy any thing in the store except for the shot glasses and ashtrays that said LAS VEGAS WHERE EVERY THING IS SEXY written all over them from the clearance section.

Good thing Grandma Jumped in and saved the day with .75 more per child to boost the prize to a sparkle pencil that just said Las Vegas which they promptly lost and cried for the next 2 hours about.
No really we had a great time with G-ma and G-pa and the kids had a great time. It is good to be back in Good old St. George though.
This is a picture of Dan and I running through our Cooking show before the camera crew starts filming. It's all smiles and giggles ,until they haul in the big filming lights and then the nausea sets in. No, my nerves are getting much better and it is not as intimidating as it use to feel. But I have gained a new appreciation for having to smile on cue, and being happy and perky all the time , because true fully some days just aren't thous days.
Talking about things I've learned or relearned , I had a funny experience at a family get together, where the subject came up whether or not I should laugh on camera or not. I should note I was not in the room when this came up, but walk in a while into the conversation, and could not figure out for the world why my personality and laugh became a discussion firstly, and secondly why they would rip it apart in front of me. It was a very funny moment . So I tell you all this experience for the simple reason if I laugh on camera and any of you happen to see it, and you are all terribly embarrassed to be my friends or family. I'm so sorry! And I don't want to hear about it! But I'll keep laughing anyways , I wouldn't be me with out it.
Sorry it's been so long since I last wrote I'll try to do better .
Here we are teaching how to make home made croissants. Trust me they are worth the effort.

Climbing with the girls

So our family has a great hobby that David is trying his hardest to make our girls love and if he doesn't end up scaring the pants off them. I think this could turn into a great family activity.

We decided to go out on a Saturday morning to Green Valley crack and take the girls Rock Climbing.

This is Maya about 20-25 feet up. With a awesome hand hold if I don't say so my self. She is a little more timid then Abbi, but she does great with a little encouragement.

This is Maya starting the climb .

Macie is our little worry wart and only made it about 6 feet off the ground before she knew she was going to die.And kept repeating that over and over again.

Abbi is the funniest to watch because she has no fear. All she cares about is having a good time. She'll climb like a little monkey. But all she really wants to do is get 15 feet off the ground and bounce. So the entire time she's climbing she asks am I high enough to jump yet?

But it's been really fun to get to see them become so much more confident at climbing. Davids been putting in more kid friendly routes around our area and the girls have liked scouting out new places with him. I personally am not that crazy about cutting threw huge thorn bushes and giant wild trees and such to find more climbable rock. But what we won't do for love. I keep telling myself it won't last forever, sadly. And my girls won't always think it's cool to follow their Dad through rivers, mud puddles, thorn bushes ,and the wild to find the perfect climbing route. So I'll smile and enjoy it while it's here and just never wear my nice running shoes again.

Weekend with the Potters

This is Diana with adorable little Ryan

We spent most of the time in the cabin playing up a Fish Lake. But we had to keep David from beating up on all the little kids. But then they ganged up and ended up wopping his sorry behind.:)

We were invited up to the Potters cabin in Fish Lake a couple weeks ago and had a great time! We woke up Sunday morning with all the roads snowed packed and icy .If you have never been to fish lake before it's 9600 ft. high so the air is really thin. We decided(David decided) to take a different route home then the one we came one. I looked at the route and said honey I think that is going to add 5 hours to our already 3 1/2 hour trip home. No, he said maybe 1 hour tops famous last words.

So we went through 3 national parks and 2 state parks and a 8 1/2 hour drive. But to Davids credit we had a great time and want to go back again to go camping, it was beautiful!

This was a Capital Reef ,very worth the drive if you ever get the chance to be in the middle of no where in central /eastern /southern Utah area.

This is me and Ryan Hanging out watching T.V.

This is the four munchkins .Macie Morgan Abbi and William.

I was completely amazed at how well they all got along. It really was a great weekend!

Thanks Will and Diana. We had a blast.

So life has been very busy and I don't exactly know how to down load anything. Jayanne my sis will have to give me the 411 again. Life is very good David graduated YAH YAH. Life is funny how there is always a stress. Now it's finding a job and passing the Nclex. The worries of life.

Any how I just had my sisters down and my addorable little brother that is has left on his mission now. We had such agreat time.

Macie had amelt down the other day about growing up. She informed me she wants to be my little girl forever. I promised her she could be . But that growing up is great and then we talked about all the fun things we will do together when she gets bigger. The next thing she said made me laugh because she said she was glad David can babysit all her kids while me and her go shopping. I'm so glad David loves kids and hopefully in 15 years he still will.

He's been taking the kids rock climbing and they love it. Abbi is the most fearless. There is something great about that age where they think they are indestructable.
